Ayasato Mayoi (Maya Fey)

Brief Background: Maya Fey or known as Ayasato Mayoi, is a fictional character in the world of Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright). When first introduced into the manga and games, it is assumed she is around 17 years of age. She first meets Phoenix Wright (Ryuuichi Naruhodou) after he walks in while she is at her late sister's (Mia Fey's) side. He was her defense attorney and proved her innocence. Maya is from a family of spirit mediums. She grew up in Kurian village with her sister Mia and is training to be a spirit medium. Her powers are still somewhat underdevloped, so she has some trouble calling spirits.

Miscellaneous Facts: Maya originally was going to be working in Mia's office, training to become a lawyer. But the producers thought Phoenix had too many allies, so they asked one to be cut. That was how the writers came up with the idea for the Turnabout Sister's case, and using spirit channeling to combine two of Phoenix's allies into one.
